Located at the picturesque settings with YERCAUD hills range, all around Kanavaipudur village is part of a fertile valley. If developed it can make an ideal tourist resort. In July 2009 a College for Women was inaugurated in this village by Sarada Niketan Samithi, exclusively for women. A large area of 120 acres was donated by a great philanthropist for this purpose.
