Established on November 14th in the year 1970 with Mr. Muhi Kanta Tamuly as its Principal, Sarupathar College is the outcome of toil and hardship of a host of leading personalities of the greater Sarupathar area. The college got permanent affiliation under Dibrugarh University up to degree level in 1994-1995 and was declared, along with the other colleges of Assam, a provincialized college in December, 2005.
Canteen :The college has canteen facilities for staff and students.
Language Lab : The College has a language lab which can provide facilities to students for practicing language skills.
Hostel Facility
The college has a well-built women’s hostel within the campus to provide accommodation to the rural girls’ and Boys’ students with a view to improving the academic status of the neighboring backward society. The hostel can provide accommodation to 50 Girls students and 20 Boys students.
