State Institute of Hotel Management, Catering Technology & Applied Nutrition, Hamirpur is an Autonomous Institute under Department of Tourism and Civil Aviation, Government of Himachal Pradesh. The Institute is jointly sponsored by Ministry of Tourism, Government of India and Department of Tourism & Civil Aviation, Government of Himachal Pradesh. Established in the year 2009, State Institute of Hotel Management, Catering Technology & Applied Nutrition, Hamirpur is one of its kinds in the region with excellent infrastructure. The Institute is awarding a 3 year B.Sc. Degree in Hospitality & Hotel Administration jointly offered by National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHMCT), Noida & Indira Gandhi National Open University. The Institute also offers various other Short-Term Courses.
The Institute is fully equipped with appropriate laboratories, classrooms, library for dissemination of knowledge, and for development of the right attitude required for the hospitality industry. Faculty members are well qualified and experienced who specialize in dissemination of knowledge in their respective fields of expertise.
The State Institute of Hotel Management, Catering Technology and Applied Nutrition, Hamirpur has established a Training & Placement Cell for the purpose of arranging training and placements for the students. The first batch of three year Degree program is already undergoing training at the leading hotels of the country. Many of our present students of various Diploma /Craft course students already been assured of jobs in reputed hotels. Training and placement cell also assures that the Faculty is been given constant upgradation of technical know how being practised in contemporary service industry.
