Presently, Dr. (Ms) Sharda Rani Gupta, Dean, Faculty of Life Sciences is the Chairperson of the department. The department has basic infrastructural facilities for research & teaching. All the teachers, research scholars and other students have access to internet facility available in the department.

	Eligibility B.Sc. with 55% marks in aggregate and having Biochemistry/Chemistry as one of the subjects.
	Duration 2 years
	Admission Procedure Entrance Test
	No. of Seats 50 seats

2 .	Ph.D. Biochemistry
	Eligibility Post Graduation in related field
	Duration Minimum period after registration is two years
	Admission Procedure Through Entrance Test; however, those students who have qualified UGC/CSIR-JRF/NET, GATE, SLET and UGC Teacher Fellowship holders are exempted from the entrance test. The students will have to do course work of one semester.
