Government First Grade College Chamarajanagara, was established in the year 1993-94 with the B.A - H.E.P & H.E.S combination with the strength of 124, with a view to impart higher education especially to economically backward classes students coming from rural areas.
The present strength is 912. Most of the students belong to socially, economically and weaker sections of the society.
The college provides arts, science, and commerce for UG level and Political Science for PG level. We feel extremely happy to acknowledge that our institution is re-accredited by NAAC with ‘B’ grade in 2011 with the extensive work of the principal, IQAC coordinator, by all staffs of the institution, great support from the alumni, CDC members and general public.
