It is the lift/ elevator technicians or mechanics who install and maintain
lifts, elevators or other similar equipment in a variety of settings.
The job profile of a lift technician involves assembling and installing
of lifts and escalators, modifying circuitry in them; monitoring its performance
with a computer, maintaining and rectifying faults in them. To ensure
the safe operating condition of lifts, they also perform regular services
like testing equipment with meters and gauges, oiling and greasing moving
parts, adjusting equipment for effective function, replacing worn parts
etc.

an in-house training in the establishment, where they are appointed. They

the trade before performing work themselves.

computer programs and other new products in this field, lift technicians
has to attend workshops, seminars or training courses in the related field.
