The Chevening Rolls-Royce Science and Innovation Leadership Programme is a tailor-made programme for mid-career Indian professionals working in the fields of science, innovation, and related public administration. This award for India is supported by one of the UK’s most innovative companies, Rolls Royce. It will be hosted by the Saïd Business School, the University of Oxford. The programme enable 12 scholars to explore innovation and science policy, from an academic, practical and personal perspective.
The major aim of the programme is to promote the role of science and innovation as a driver of growth and opportunity and to forge lasting ties between the UK and India’s future leaders.
Besides the general eligibility, the successful applicants should have the 'Chevening' qualities of drive, leadership potential, a commitment to change, talent for innovation and creativity, and the ability to adapt to rapidly changing circumstances.
Duration of the programme is 15 weeks. There will be three main modules: Science, Innovation and Policy. Each module will include lectures, workshops and discussions that focus on relevant ideas, institutions and introduce the group to experts and opinion leaders, together with a significant element of practice, including case studies, visits and projects.
