UCL Institute of Education London (IOE) offers Centenary Doctoral Scholarships for pursuing PhD degree program within the dept. of Education at UCL (University College London) Institute of Education in UK. The aim of Centenary Doctoral Scholarships is to promote excellence in education and related areas of social research and professional practice through advancing knowledge and understanding. The IOE was ranked first for education in the QS World University Rankings in both 2014 and 2015.

Scholarship Details

Centenary Doctoral Scholarships covers full tuition fees and accommodation at International Students House (ISH). These scholarships do not cover subsistence in London, travel or any other costs. The scholarship is tenable for three years, subject to satisfactory progress.

Eligibility Criteria :

Candidates should:

be citizens and residents of a low or lower-middle income country (as per World Bank website)
have an offer to study a full time PhD degree in London at the UCL Institute of Education ( start in October current year)
not have studied or lived in the UK before.

Please note the online PhD, EdD and the Educational Psychology (Professional Educational, Child and Adolescent Psychology) DEdPsy are not eligible for this scholarship.

How to apply

The applicants who hold an offer to study a doctoral course at the UCL Institute of Education (for October entry) will receive an email with details of how to apply for these scholarships. If not received this email, please contact international office at IOEinternational@ucl.ac.uk with details of your full name and student number.

Research proposals already submitted with the course application will also be considered as part of the scholarship application.
