SIA Youth scholarship for Indian students is offered by Ministry of Education for the Pre-University studies in selected Singapore Junior Colleges. Scholarship will be awarded for Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education Level (or equivalent) certificate, which is an internationally recognised qualification. The SIA Youth Scholarship is tenable for 2 years and renewed annually subject to the satisfactory performance of the scholar.

Provisions

The SIA Youth Scholarship provides:

Annual allowance of S$2,400 with hostel accommodation
Settling-in allowance of S$500 (once only)
Return economy class air passage
Coverage of school fees (excluding miscellaneous fees)
Coverage of GCE Level examination fees (once only)
Subsidised medical benefits and accident insurance cover.

Eligibility Criteria :

Students must

Be Nationals of India
Completed Standard 10 in the Year of admission
Should Possess outstanding academic track record with at least an average of 85% or minimum n the Standard 10 State/National examinations)
Have taken English as first language in the Standard 10 State/National examinations and have a high level of oral and written competency in English

How to apply

Applicants should submit the application through online using the online application system. Each applicant should submit only one application form along with the following documents:

Birth Certificate;
Identity Card / Passport (if any); and
Final Examination Result Slips for the last two years (Standard 9 final examinations and Standard 10 State/National Board examinations)

Original documents that are not in English must be translated to English and must be accompanied by a photocopy of the original documents. Do not send any original documents as they will not be returned. Original documents must be produced only at the time of interview upon request .
