University of Houston provides Tier One Scholarship for International Students for pursuing Undergraduate Program at The College of Technology, University of Houston in USA.

Established in 1927, the University of Houston empowers students in their pursuit of learning, discovery, leadership, and engagement.

The Tier One Scholarship is the University of Houston’s most prestigious academic scholarship program. Incoming freshman students who have demonstrated exceptional academic achievement, leadership, and community engagement are encouraged to apply.

Tier One Scholars are offered a generous financial assistance package, opportunity to live on campus, and access to enrichment opportunities to help them prepare for their future.

Scholarship provisions :

The complete scholarship package is worth a total value of approximately $65,0002 in addition to the invaluable benefits of mentorship, advising, and camaraderie that come with being a part of the Tier One Scholars community!

All tuition and mandatory fees for four years of undergraduate studies.($44,600) ( Architecture students will receive five years of benefits.)
Two years of on-campus housing and meal plan ($18,000)
Stipend to support Undergraduate Research ($1,000)
Stipend to support Study Abroad ($2,000)
Access to influential network of faculty and staff
Opportunities to build community among other Tier One Scholars, National Merit Scholars, and other high-achieving students
Priority registration during all enrollment periods
Enhanced academic advising through the Honors College
Guidance in competing for national and international scholarships and fellowships

Eligibility:

Applicants who have a 1400 SAT Total (ERW + Math) or 30 ACT Composite score, and who rank in the top 10% of their high school graduating class, will improve their odds of qualifying for the scholarship.

Competitive candidates should plan to attend one of the following on-campus prospective student events:

Honors College Open House
Cougar Preview

University have already recorded the attendance of candidates who participated in Cougar Preview or the Honors College Open House

Transfer students, graduate students, and continuing UH students are not eligible to apply for the Tier One Scholarship.

How to Apply :

In order to be considered for the Tier One Scholarship, the following elements.

Application for admission to the University.
A letter of recommendation sent directly by the recommender to tieronescholar-at-uh.edu. Your letter should be from an individual who knows you well (high school teacher, school administrator, club advisor, etc.)
