Graduates from outside India to teach at the Indian University
Center for Environmental Planning and Technology (CEPT) Ahmedabad provides teaching fellowships for spring semester. Fellowship is open to outstanding young graduates from outside India to teach at the Indian University. This fellowship furthers the University’s mission of excellence in education with exchange of ideas and teaching methods between the fellows and the University. The fellows are able to meaningfully contribute to the discourse on Human Habitat, which is the core of the University’s mission.
The fellowship is aimed to contribute to the diverse learning environment at CEPT.The fellows have an opportunity to understand a dynamic social context in one of the rapidly developing cities in India. They would be able use either one of the summer or winter breaks for travel or voluntary work.
Fellows will teach for 2 regular semesters (17 weeks each) and either a Winter School or a Summer School (4 weeks) at CEPT University. Courses may be taught individually (theory or seminar courses) or as a part of a larger faculty team (design studios).
The Fellowship is for 1year:
The Fellows will receive a
Monthly stipend of Rs 45,000/- and Yearly stipend of Rs 540,000/- for 12
months. They will also receive a
Reimbursement of Travel Expenses up to Rs 150,000/-. Fellows are eligible for shared living accommodation pre-arranged by the university and paid by fellows separately (approx. Rs 10,000/- per month) but not eligible for tickets or allowance for dependents.
A review committee set up by CEPT University will evaluate all applications and select candidates for final offers of fellowship. Apart from academic qualifications, experience of candidates in professional practice, teaching and research will be considered & evaluated by the committee.
