National Sports Scholarships are awarded by National Institute of Sports Development for all talented and proved achievers in sports in school - college - university levels. National Sports Scholarships are presented in the occasion of Indian National Sports Day on 29th August, every year. The aim of the scholarship is to help a lot of sports dreams all over India to achieve the heights they wish for. These scholarships will help a lot of parents so that they promote their talented sports children, as this money will help to meet a part of their sports expenses

Scholarship Details

National Sports Scholarship shall be awarded to selected applicants and typically amounts to a minimum of Rs.6000/- (Six Thousand) to maximum Rs.9000/- (Nine Thousand) for the development of sports along with their regular education and activities.

Eligibility Criteria :

The sports talents from the age of 8 years to the age of 21 years (physically disabled or special students like deaf, blind and Paralympics can also apply).
Only any individual or team sports and games achievements and participations in any Govt. valid and approved, rural – urban – district – zonal – state – national level sports competitions, championships and meets.

Selection Procedure

The candidates are selected by the detailed strict possible verifications of all the submitted details of each and every application by the candidates.

Candidtes can download the application from website www.nisd.co.in. Candidates cal also send application forms, application numbers and details by post or by e-mail by whattsapp or SMS or call to institute for any person. For submitting, send applications only by speed post with acknowledgement from any of the post offices in all over India to "The Chief coordinator, National institute of Sports Development (NISD), E-2, East Uttam Nagar, New Delhi-110059"

Documents required

Application form along with institutional details, personal bio data, family details, copies of proofs of identity-preferably Adhar copy and income-preferably ration card copy, photocopies of sports certificates attested by the physical or sports instructor or in charge or head of the
institution or principal or head master/ mistress, where they are studying or studied with seals and signatures of the designation and institution. All attested and details of application fee - a copy of e-Money order of Rs.100/- for SC/ST/OBC/OEC/ Reservation category students, Rs.200/- for general students.
