Indian Council of Philosophical Research (ICPR), New Delhi provides Junior Research Fellowships for eligible candidates for pursuing PhD in an affiliated educational / research institute/University recognized by Govt., of India. The main aim of this Fellowship is to promote research in philosophy and the allied areas by providing fellowship and other opportunities to scholars, especially the young scholars, to help them engage on a whole time basis in research projects on the themes of their choice taken up for Ph. D., Degrees at different Universities/Institutions across India.

Provisions
The Fellowship is for 2 years‚ and provides:
Fellowship is awarded for 60 fellows and will be paid a stipend of Rs.17,600/- per month and also entitled for contingency grant of Rs 16,500/- per year.
The fellowship may not be given to the candidates pursuing M. Phil., degree/course/program or in the cases where part or whole of a project / program has been done in support of another fellowship.
Those who already availed a fellowship cannot apply for this fellowship for 5 years. Having availed a fellowship, one cannot apply for the same fellowship again or a fellowship of a lower rank.
Selection
The candidates are selected on the basis of the mark obtained in JRF Entrance exam which will be held in the Month of May/June.
Interest candidates can apply through online/offline mode . Candidates should send /upload their filled-in-application in the prescribed application format along with the attested copies of necessary documents, photographs and signature, Demand Draft of Rs. 50/- drawn in favour of ICPR, New Delhi through Speed-Post .
The Junior Fellow has to furnish one copy of synopsis of their project proposal along with their application while applying, and submit 5 copies of the synopsis at the time of interview. The synopsis should not exceed 5 pages.
Soft copy of the filled-inapplication-form, Synopsis and Bio Data, keeping all of them in a single file, either in MS Word or PDF file format, may be sent through email.
