Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IIT) offers fellowships for Indian postgraduate students and faculty working in the areas of VLSI and related fields

A fellowship should not be viewed as an honor or recognition, but as an enabler to attend VDAT (VLSI Design and Test) for students/faculty who do not get adequate support. VDAT is a flagship event of the VLSI Society of India. This Symposium follows successful organization of twenty symposiums in previous years. VDAT is being organized at Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, India. In true sense, VDAT is a focused research event encompassing themes related to various disciplines of VLSI.

Study Subject: Scholarships are awarded in the areas of VLSI and related fields.

Scholarship Descriprtion

Scholarship can be taken in India and entitles a lower registration fee of INR 3000 and travel fare from the fellows residence to IIT Roorkee (to and fro) by AC Three tier train. No other support will be available.

Eligibility Criteria :

The following criteria must be met in order for applicants to be eligible for scholarship:

Indian students are eligible to apply for this scholarship programme

The students must be full time students/ regular faculty at the time of the symposium

Fellowships are made available to Indian postgraduate students and faculty working in the areas of VLSI and related fields.

Scan the copies of
1. Downloaded Fellowship Application Form.
2. A brief Bio-data.
3. A letter from your Head of Institution stating your present status as a Regular Student/ Faculty

Send the scanned copies of the above documents to vdat2017@gmail.com. The Subject of the email should be: "Application for Fellowship VDAT (specify current year)".

• Queries regarding registration must be sent only to: vdat2017@iitr.ac.in
• If you are granted fellowship, you are expected to register with full amount before June of the specified date and attend the event on all days.
• Please refer to Registration details.
• Please carry a photo ID issued by your institution. You may be requested to show it at the time of collecting your registration material.

Fellow Registration

To attend VDAT of the current year Symposium and/or Tutorials, fellowship applicants must register by paying the full amount under the Fellow category before the deadline. In case a fellowship is not awarded, the balance payable under Student/ Faculty range must be sent separately, after the fellow list is announced. Please do not pay in excess. No refund will be made for over payment if any, and will be adjusted towards VSI Membership, or purchase of previous VDAT/ VSI Proceedings, or towards accommodation (when applicable). Attending Tutorials is optional.

Please refer Registration details. Fellowship awardees need to enter the allotted ID in the registration form. Please register before June in the specified date to confirm acceptance. Late registration will cancel the fellowship.
