Jagadis Bose National Science Talent Search Junior Scholarship is provided to students of Basic Sciences in Undergraduate level will not only help them in monetary ways but also provide them with exposure to different seminars, colloquia, guidance, tour and placement programs.

Scholarship details

This Scholarship is for two years and covers Rs. 1000 per month and annual Book grant of Rs. 2500.

Eligibility

Applicant for Junior Scholarship should have passed 10th standard or equivalent examinations in with minimum 75% marks in aggregate and currently studying in 11th standard in Sciences stream (with at least any 3 subjects from Phy/Chem/Math/Bio/Stat/Comp. Sc.) in any school within West Bengal.

How to apply

The application forms can be downloaded from JBNSTS official website at www.jbnsts.org. Application forms can also be obtained from the Office of the JBNSTS by sending self-addressed stamped (Rs. 10.00) envelope to JBNSTS, 1300 Rajdanga Main Road, Kol-107, Ph: 2442-8270/2441- 7542. For hard copy application, please clearly mention JTST on the top of the envelope.

Applicant may apply online through the website www.jbnsts.org. A non refundable application fee of Rs. 100/- may be paid through Net Banking/ Credit Card/ Debit Card or may be deposited at any branch of SBI after generating the challan (from internet).

Jagadis Bose National Science Talent Search Scholarship Test

Jagadis Bose National Science Talent Search Scholarship Test is a three phased test involving written test (1st phase), Interview (2nd phase) and Scientific Creativity Test (3rd and Final phase). The written test for Jagadis Bose National Science Talent Search Scholarship consists of a mixture of both simple multiple choice questions and broad questions to check the intelligence of an applicant.

Only the short listed students from each phase are called for the next phase. Results will be declared after every phase of examination.
