Karnataka Innovation and Technology Society (K-Tech) offers job oriented one-year Post-Graduate Diploma courses that provides for job ready workforce to the Biotechnology industry through BiSEP (Biotechnology Skill enhancement Program ((BiSEP) .
Biotechnology Skill enhancement Program ((BiSEP) aims to continue to educate and empower human resources to bridge the gap between biotech industry and academia. A very unique initiative in India covers 9 Biotech Domains in 18 reputed PG Institutions across 8 districts of Karnataka.
Karnataka Innovation and Technology Society , a registered society with the brand name K-Tech under the Department of Information Technology ,Biotechnology and Science and Technology is facilitating and promoting the IT and BT sectors in the State by organizing as well as participating in Trade shows, Conferences, Symposia, Seminars held at National and International levels etc. This enables to project the State and its potential for investments, implementation of its policies and programs, assisting industries in getting quick clearances, administering incentives and concessions announced in State policies.

Fellowship amount
Student Fellowship Support for candidates selected for admission to courses offered under BiSEP of the selected 18 host institutions will be eligible to receive student fellowship at the rate of Rs.10000/- pm from KBITS. In order to receive Rs.10000/- pm student fellowship amount, the candidate need to put up minimum 75% attendance for that particular month

The candidate must have passed Master’s degree in Biotechnology,
Microbiology, Biochemistry, Bioinformatics or any other Life Science
related courses OR in B.E / B.Tech. – Biotechnology or
Bioinformatics, Bachelor of Pharmacy, Agriculture and Veterinary or 4 year
degree courses in any branch of Life Sciences with 50% in the qualifying
degree examination)

Selection Procedure
Selection is through Online Entrance Teet - Karnataka – Biotechnology Aptitude Test (K-BAT) and counseling.
KBAT is an online Test and can be taken from anywhere with a good internet facility. KBAT aims to test fundamental and applied aspects of Biology along with logical reasoning, general English, basic Mathematics and Computer Science.
KBAT consist total of 100 (one hundred) 'multiple choice' questions. One hundred multiple choice questions need to be answered in 60 minutes.
