Kerala Biotechnology Commission under Kerala State Council for Science and Environment (KSCSTE ), an autonomous body of Government of Kerala provided Post Doctoral Fellowship for pursuing research in the frontier areas of Biotechnology. The Fellowship can be availed for research in an institution under KSCSTE or any reputed R&D institution/University departments in India where research in frontier areas of biotechnology is going on and cannot be availed at the same institution where the candidates have earned their PhD degree.
Provisions
The Fellowship is for two years and extendable to the third year depending on the progress of the research work.
Fellowship typically amounts to Rs: 25,000/- per month and Rs. 50,000 annual contingency and 10% H.R.A also will be granted to the fellows.
The candidates should :
Age limit: Age should not be more than 35 years but relaxable for the number of years of Post Doctoral experience upto a maximum of 5 years
The candidate shall join the program within three months from the date of award of fellowship.
Candidates can submit application in the prescribed format with relevant certificates (M.Sc/PhD/MD/MS thesis submission certificate, Post Doctoral experience, age proof) publications, detailed resume with mailing address, contact number and e-mail ID etc. An undertaking from Head of any of the recognized Research Centres/ Departments/ Institutions stating that research facilities will be extended for the PDF fellow or they have no objection to allow the PDF to carry out the program in the institution.
For availing the fellowship the applicant is advised to propose his/her place of work, consent letter from the host institution, name of the supervisor and his/her consent and enclose one page synopsis of proposed research work already done.
