Kerala Biotechnology Commission under Kerala State Council for Science and Environment (KSCSTE ), an autonomous body of Government of Kerala provided Pre-Post Doctoral Fellowship for pursuing research in the frontier areas of Biotechnology. In order to obtain the fellowship the fellows should perform their research in an institution under KSCSTE or any reputed R&D institution/University departments in India, which provides research in the areas of biotechnology. The candidates couldn't get fellowship at the same institution where they have earned their PhD degree.
Provisions
The Fellowship is for two years .
Fellowship typically amounts to Rs.22,000/- per month and Rs. 25,000 annual contingency and 10% H.R.A also will be granted to the fellows.
The candidates should :
Age limit: Age should not be more than 35 years but relaxable for the number of years of Post Doctoral experience upto a maximum of 5 years.
After obtaining the Doctoral degree the Pre-Post Doctoral Fellowship will be converted to Post Doctoral Fellowship from the date of award of the degree.
Candidates can submit application in the prescribed format with relevant certificates (M.Sc/PhD/MD/MS thesis submission certificate, Post Doctoral experience, age proof) publications, detailed resume with mailing address, contact number and e-mail ID etc. An undertaking from Head of any of the recognized Research Centres/ Departments/ Institutions stating that research facilities will be extended for the PDF fellow or they have no objection to allow the PDF to carry out the program in the institution.
For availing the fellowship the applicant is advised to propose his/her place of work, consent letter from the host institution, name of the supervisor and his/her consent and enclose one page synopsis of proposed research work already done.
