Disability students to pursue correspondence courses and post-graduate degree/diploma/ certificate Courses
Kerala Directorate of Collegiate Education offers Post Matric Scholarship for disabilities for persons having not less than 40% disability and having a disability issued by any competent medical authority. This scholarship is only for those candidates who have passed the Matriculation or Higher Secondary or any higher examination to pursue their studies through correspondence courses and post-graduate degree/diploma/ certificate Courses. The scholarship is funded by Higher Education Department, ie. Directorate of Collegiate Education (DCE) of the Government of Kerala.
The objective of the scheme is to award scholarships to meritorious students belonging to economically weaker sections of minority community so as to provide them better opportunities for higher education, increase their rate of attainment in higher education and enhance their employability.
The scheme is implemented through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP). It is mandatory for all students to apply online on the website i.e. www.scholarships.gov.in.
Applications can be submitted online through Department of Collegiate Education (DCE) website http://www.dcescholarship.kerala.gov.in/.
Scholarship amount will be credited to the Bank Account of the candidates selected. So Applicant should have a Bank Account in his/her name in any one of State Bank of India, State Bank of Travancore, South Indian Bank or Federal Bank.
