Kerala State Council for Science and Environment (KSCSTE ), an autonomous body of Government of Kerala has been established Post doctoral Fellowships in science subjects for those who have acquired a Ph. D degree with high quality research publications in reputed journals. The aim of the fellowship is to motivate the PhD holders to pursue research and to develop career as scientists.

Provisions

The scheme offers Post-doctoral fellowship of 45,000/-+ 10 % HRA p.m along with an annual contingency grant of Rs.75,000/-.
Duration of the Fellowship is limited to maximum 2 years.

Eligibility Criteria :

Applicant should be a permanent Resident of Kerala
Applicant should have qualified Ph.D. as on the date of application and should have scored minimum 60% marks for post-graduation.
Applicant should have chosen an institution as research Centre subject to the following
Research Centre should not be the same as Ph.D Research Centre
Research centre should preferably be in Kerala, [however, premier National Institutions viz.,IISER, IIT, IISc etc outside the State shall also be considered ]
Tenable in Government Institutions only
Tenable only in R&D institutions (National/State level) or University Departments.
Applicant should have published at least one research paper in a SCI Journal/ secured patent.
Those who have already availed one Post-Doctoral Fellowship from KSCSTE or elsewhere are not eligible to apply.

Selection

Based on assessment of the PhD work, evaluation of the proposed project and Personal interview

How to apply

Candidates can submit application in the prescribed format given in the website. The copies of certificates, training, age, educational qualifications, achievements, publications etcto be attached along with the application. The application should contain mailing address, contact number and e-mail ID. An undertaking from Head of any of the recognized Research Centres/ Departments/ Institutions stating that research facilities will be extended for the PDF fellow or they have no objection to allow the PDF to carry out the programme in the institution.
