MMTC India Limited, one of the largest international trading company of India has launched a Scholarship Fund for supporting deserving and bright students hailing from socially and economically deprived communities to become public health professionals, thus aiding the buildup and expansion of public health expertise in rural areas. These funds are for those students who have opted for Post Graduate Diploma in Public Health Management (PGDPHM) courses offered by PHFI through its educational institutes 'Indian Institute of Public Health' (IIPH's).
PGDPHM course, consisting of nine months of classroom teaching and three months of project work including field study, through its educational establishments (IIPH) situated at Delhi, National Capital Region (Gurgaon), Gandhinagar (Gujarat), Hyderabad (Andhra Pradesh), Bhubaneswar (Orissa).
Number of scholarship:
Five (5) Full Scholarships, current fee (including tuition fee and hostel
fee) are available annually for three Academic Sessions. The no. of Scholarships
may very depending on Applicant’s preference of Full or Part support Scholarship.
MMTC Scholarship Fund is available for all self-sponsored applicants selected for the PGDPHM Course. Preference is accorded to students belonging from socially and economically deprived communities including SC, ST, OBC and PH/VHC/HI. The ‘Fund’ shall provide for full or part scholarships to the limited number of applicants based on the availability of funds and as per the demonstrated need by the applicant.

Selection
A select Scholarship Committee across PHFI and IIPH’s assesses scholarship applications from the pool of self-sponsored candidates selected for the PGDPHM course.
