Rajiv Gandhi Indian Institute of Management (RGIIM) Shillong provides Fellowship Program in Management (FPM) for Indian and overseas candidates including NRIs and foreign nationals. This Fellowship program is a full-time residential program available for Pursuing doctoral Program in India. The main aim of the program is to train the individuals who will excel in their respective area as educators and produce high quality research through publication of quality work of international standard.

Subject areas: Fellowships are awarded in Economics, Marketing, Finance, Information Systems and Operations Management and HR 

Provisions

Candidates selected for the Programme are given a financial support which covers their research requirements and modest living.

This is a onetime fees payable during the time of Registration.

Eligibility Criteria :

The candidates must have obtained the degrees from any of the universities incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an act of parliament or declared to be deemed as a university under section 3 of UGC Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India, or an equivalent qualification from an institution approved by AICTE.

Age Limit: Candidates must not be more than 40 years of age as on 1st March of the year.

Selection : On the basis of academic record and performance in the competitive examinations such as Common Admission Test (CAT) held by the IIMs .Candidates with a valid GATE, GRE, GMAT and JRF (UGC/CSIR) examinations can also apply in the relevant area of specialization. Candidates who have a two-year PGDM with a minimum CGPA of 6.0 on a 10 point scale from any of the IIMs are exempted from this requirement.They can apply directly through the prescribed Application Form. They are also eligible to get a waiver of the first year course work and can directly join the second year of the program.

Candidates with work experience in industry or academics will be given more preference.

Short-listed candidates will be called to Shillong for a personal interview for final selection in April and the successful candidates will receive offers by June. 

How to apply

Applicants have to submit completed Fellow Programme Application Form online. Printed copy along with supporting documents and application fee in the form of a DD of Rs.1000/- to be send to the Office. Application fee is not applicable for SC/ST candidates. Reservation for eligible categories will be as per Government of India rules. A candidate is eligible to submit applications to a maximum of two areas. If the candidate is applying for two areas, two copies must be printed.
