Rabindranath Tagore Centre for Human Development Studies (RTCHDS) is a joint initiative of University of Calcutta & Institute of Development Studies Kolkata. Rabindranath Tagore Centre for Human Development Studies offers post-doctoral research fellowships for PhD degree candidates for pursuing research in any area of social sciences that has relevance to human development. The fellows will be provided with office space at IDSK, Salt Lake Campus and will have full access to the library, computer laboratory and other facilities available at IDSK.
Provisions
Fellowships is paid for two years and are usually extended to a third year, following review. The Fellows will get a stipend of Rs.36,000 to Rs.40,000, depending on their experience. They will also be provided accommodation and partial assistance with relocation.

Candidates who have submitted PhD thesis and are waiting for results and/or employed as junior faculty in academic institutions can also apply.
Selection Procedure
The candidates are selected by the advisory committee of RTCHDS on the basis of the evaluation of their applications and personal interviews. Candidates short-listed will be called for interview by email / post.
The selected fellows are expected to join the fellowship within three months from the date of issuing the offer letter.
