Siksha 'O' Anusandhan (SOA) conducts SAAT Admission Test Scholarship (SAAT)
for various Under Graduate and Post Graduate courses. SAAT will be online
computer based examination.
Siksha 'O' Anusandhan (SOA) is a Deemed to be University situated in
Bhubaneswar, Odisha. SOA was reaccredited by NAAC with an 'A' grade (highest
grade under the old system) in 2015 for a period of 5 years. It was ranked as
the 33rd best National Institution, the 20th Best in University Category of NIRF
and the Best Institution in Odisha by the MHRD through its NIRF Rankings in

The yearly renewal of the scholarship will be subject to :
The academic performance of the student with minimum CGPA of 8.0 in semester assessment
Without any backlog.
Attendance : 80% in each semester in each subject.
Character and conduct certified by the Head of the Institution.
There should not be any adverse remarks against the candidates.
Eligibility Criteria
- B.Tech.
Pass or appearing (in the year 2019) at
10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory
subjects along with one of the following subjects: Chemistry / Computer
Science / Information Technology /Biotechnology / Biology / Informatics /
Statistics / Technical Vocational subject or any other subject as approved
by appropriate authority with atleast 45% marks (40% in case of SC / ST /
OBC category).
- For Lateral Entry B.Tech.
Passed or appearing (in the year 2019)
three year Diploma examination in Engineering / Hotel Management with at
least 45% marks in aggregate (40% in case of candidates belonging to
reserved category) from State Council of Technical Education and Vocational
Training (SCTE&VT), Odisha or equivalent.
OR
Passed B.Sc. Degree from
a recognized University as defined by UGC, with at least 45% marks (40% in
case of candidates belonging to reserved category) and passed XII standard
with mathematics as a subject.
- B.Sc. in Nursing (Basic)
PPass or appearing at 10+2 examination (2019)
with atleast 45% marks in aggregate (Physics, Chemistry & Biology taken
together) and 40% marks in aggregate for SC / ST / OBC candidates and must
have passed in English.
Age Limit : The lower age limit is 17 years as on
31.12.2019.
- B.Sc. in in Agriculture
Pass or appearing at 10+2 examination (2019)
with not less than 50% marks in aggregate for admission under General and
OBC categories, 40% marks in aggregate for admission under SC, ST and PH
categories, with PCM/PCB/PCMB subject combinations. Candidates must have
passed in English 10+2 examination. Age Limit: The lower age limit is 17
years as on 31.12.2019.
- MCA
PPass or appearing (in the year 2019) at three year Bachelor
Degree in any discipline from any recognized University with atleast 50% of
marks (45% in case of candidates belonging to SC / ST / OBC Category) having
Mathematics at 10+2 level or at +3 level.
- Lateral Entry MCA
PPass or appearing (in the year 2019) in three year
Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA), B.Sc. in Information Technology (H)
and B.Sc. in Computer Science (H) or equivalent with Mathematics as a
subject at 10+2 level or at Graduation Level, with atleast 50% of marks in
aggregate (45% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) at the
qualifying examination from any recognized University.
- MBA (Agribusiness)
PPass or appearing (2019) B.Sc. (Ag.)/ B.V.Sc. &
A.H./ B.Tech. (Ag. Engg.) / B.Tech. (Dairy Science / Biotechnology) /B.F.Sc.
B.Sc.(Forestry) / BAMS / B.Sc.(Hort.) / B.Sc.(H.Sc.) / B.Tech / B.Sc. /
B.Com. / BBA from a recognized University with 50% marks for general and 45%
marks for SC/ST/PH candidates and 55% for Graduate of Agriculture and allied
subjects.
- B.Pharm.
Pass or appearing at 10+2 examination conducted by the
respective state/central government authorities recognized as equivalent to
10+2 examination by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) with
English as one of the subjects and Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (P.C.M)
and or Biology (P.C.B / P.C.M.B.) as optional subjects individually. Any
other qualification approved by the Pharmacy Council of India as equivalent
to any of the above examinations. (As per the norms and regulations of
Pharmacy Council of India)
- Lateral Entry B.Pharm
Passed or appearing (in the year 2019) at two
year diploma course in Pharmacy with minimum 45% marks in aggregate (40% in
case of candidates belonging to reserved category) from State Board of
Pharmacy (SBP), Odisha, or equivalent.
- BHMCT
PPass or appearing at 10+2 examination (2019) in any discipline
with atleast 45% marks (40% in case of SC / ST / OBC category)
- B.A. LLB. (Hons) and B.B.A. LLB. (Hons)
Pass or appearing (2019) the
10+2 or equivalent in any stream with at least 45% marks. Relaxable to 40%
in case of SC/ST and 42% in case OBC. There is no upper age limit at
present, however it is subjected to the decision of the Hon’ble Supreme
Court of India and BCI notification in this regard.
CLAT / LSAT qualified
candidates are exempted from the entrance test, but they have to fill up the
form.
- BBA
Pass or appearing (2019) the 10+2 or equivalent in any stream.
- BCA
Pass or appearing (2019) the 10+2 or equivalent in any stream
having Mathematics.
Selection Process
The students will be selected based on the performance in Scholarship Test
Examination PatternÂ
- In each of the sections, every question is followed by 4 answer options. Choose the option that is most appropriate. Indicate your answer by clicking on the circle adjacent to the option you think is right.
- You can go to any question directly by clicking on the question number, which will appear at the bottom of the screen. The answered question number will be marked Green and the unanswered / skipped question number will remain in blue.
- If you are doubtful of the answer, you can mark a question for review using the ‘Mark for review button’. This will be unmarked once you come back to the same question at a later time and change the answer.
- If you want to change the answer of any question, you may select the question and change the answer by clicking on the appropriate answer.
- Each correct answer fetches 4 marks. There is negative marking. 1 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.
- If you have completed answering all the questions in the sequence of a particular section, you will be automatically directed to the first question of the next section.
- You can move between sections at your will.
- The test closes automatically once the allotted time of 120 Minutes are over.
- In case you finish your test before allotted time, you will get a confirmation page which will give you two options. Either to go back to the test or to complete the test.
- In case you want to review the answers in the remaining time you can do so, else you may complete the test and submit. Ensure that you click on submit as a sign of completion.
Application Process
Candidates can apply online for SAAT Entrance through
http://forms.soa.ac.in/user/register. Submit
the ONLINE form for the test before the last date for applying.

application form has been properly and completely filled up.
Application
process: Incomplete application will not be accepted. Please follow the below
mentioned process below to complete your application process.
All candidates
are requested to keep the scanned copy of Photo and Signature to upload during
filling up the application form. (Recent Colour passport size Photograph). (File
size: Less than 1 MB / File format: : png gif jpg jpeg.)
The candidates are
also required to keep the Identity Proof before filling the form.
Step 1:
Fill up Name, Email and Mobile Number.
Step 2: Receive One Time Password
(OTP) at the given Mobile Number and enter OTP to verify.
Step 3 After OTP
verification your login will be created. Candidates can login to the portal to
fill up the application form. Please check your email for the login details.
Step 4: Complete the application form as required and submit.
Step 5:
Download and print your Application form for future reference. The submitted
application can be accessed through login account.
Step 6: The
acknowledgement for successful submission of application form of the SAAT 2019
will be intimated to your Email Id.
