SET-I : For admission to Certificate Programme
Consists of two papers each of two hours duration.
Paper-I : English, General awareness, Mental Aptitude and Mathematics
Paper-II : Physics & Chemistry
SET-II : For admission to Diploma programes
Consists of two papers each of two hours duration.
Paper-I : English & Mathematics
Paper-II : Physics & Chemistry
SET-II : For admission
to Degree programes
Consists of two papers each of two hours duration.
Paper-I : English, General Knowledge, Mental Aptitude, Mathemathics, Physics
& Chemistry.
Paper-II : Basics of Engineering.
SET-IV : Consists of two papers each of two hours duration.
Paper-I : Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics & English studied in Certificate
Programme
Paper-II : Trade syllabi studied in Certificate Programme
SET-V : Consists of two papers each of two hours duration.
Paper-I : Mathematics, General Knowledge & Mental Aptitude
Paper-II : one of the disciplines viz; (i) Computer Science & Engineering
(ii) Electronics & Communication Engineering; (iii) Instrumentation
Engineering (iv) Mechanical Engineering; (v) Chemical Technology and (vi)
Food Technology
SET-VI : For admission to M.Tech Programme
Consists of one paper of two hours duration.
Paper-I : Related to the concerned PG Programme
Question papers for all the SET Examinations will have objective types questions with multiple choice. Each Paper will have 100 objective type questions which carries 100 marks. Answers of the objective type questions are to be filled in the OMR answer sheet given separately. There will be no negative marking.
The medium of entrance examination SET-II, SET-III, SET-IV, SET-V & SET-VI, will be English. However, candidates appearing for the Entrance Test for Certificate Programmeme (SET-I) may answer the questions of Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics either in English, Hindi or Punjabi. Question Papers for these subjects will be provided in English, Hindi and Punjabi.
