Exam Pattern
Comdek entrance test is for those students who wants to seek admission in Karnataka various institutes who offer programmes like BE, MBBS & BDS. It comprises of four papers, as given below : 1) Mathematics, 2) Biology, 3) Physics, 4) chemistry. Generally, the questions in COMEDK Entrance exam are asked from Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology of 10+2 level of examination. In COMEDK UGET Exam combined paper for Physics & Chemistry are Compulsory for all candidates. Candidates who aspire to apply for MBBS Course Biology is Compulsory. Mathematics is compulsory for candidates who wish to go for BE Course.
No. of Questions: Total of 120 questions including 60 in physics and 60 in chemistry.Entrance Exam Duration: Duration of entrance test is 120 minutes, so it is 1 minute for 1 question which is compulsory for all candidates seeking admission to MBBS and BE courses.
Candidates should note that Biology and Mathematics tests will also be conducted on the same day . Each test consists of 60 questions and must be completed in 60 minutes. Candidates can select any one of the subjects (Biology and Mathematics). There is no negative marking, each correct answer means 1 mark and will be required to mark answers on an OMR sheet.
Syllabus
Generally, the questions in COMEDK Entrance exam are asked from Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology of 10+2 level of examination. Subject -wise Syllabus or subject topics that are generally asked are given in the following lines.
Physics Syllabus:
Heat and thermodynamics, electrostatics, oscillations, thermal and chemical effects of currents, electromagnetic induction and alternating currents, physical world & measurement, introduction, description of motion in one dimension, description of motion in two and three dimensions, etc.
Chemistry Syllabus:
Chemistry of representative elements, nuclear chemistry, electrochemistry, chemical kinetics, chemistry in action, chemistry of biological processes, biomolecules, polymers, chemistry of carbon compounds, coordination chemistry and organo metallics, transition metals including lanthanides etc.
Mathematics Syllabus:Vectors and three dimensional geometry, matrices and determinants, circles, coordinate geometry, exponential and logarithmic series, Probability, correlation and regression, differential equations, definite integral, integral calculus, differential calculus etc.
Biology Syllabus:
Diversity in Living World, Structural Organisation in Plants and Animals, Biology and Human Welfare, Ecology and Environment, Reproduction in Organism, Genetics & Evolution, etc.
