Selection is made on the merit of entrance examination. Qualified candidates are called for counselling.
In the event of candidates getting equal marks in the Entrance examination, relative merit will be determined on the basis of marks obtained in the compulsory subjects (Physics and Chemistry) in AIEEA examination. In the event of tie again, a candidate higher in age would be rated higher in merit.

Candidate will be recommended for admission in the Agricultural Universities on the basis of merit in the Entrance Examination and availability of seats at his/her rank at the time of counselling. ICAR-JRF (Junior Research Fellowship for Post Graduate Students) will be awarded based on merit rank in the subject opted for admission, and availability of seat in the desired university.
For determining the merit of candidates in case of tie, performance at degree level examination will form the criteria. If performance at degree level is also same, the age of candidate would determine the priority and the earlier date of birth will get priority.
Female candidates admitted through this examination on ICAR seats will be accommodated, to the extent possible, in the main campus of the University or in the campus located in a major city where there are adequate facilities for the stay of female students.
