Test Pattern
GCET shall consist of  five papers ( Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology and Computer Science). Candidates are permitted to appear only for those subjects, which they have studied and registered for at H.S.S.C Examination. The test pattern of GCET will be of objective type of questions. A sample format of the Objective Response Sheet (ORS) which shall be used as answer sheet is available at inside cover page of the brochure. Candidates are advised to go through the instructions printed on the sample ORS and get familiarized with its use.

Each paper will consist of 75 (Seventy Five) questions to be answered in two hours (one hundred & twenty minutes) and each question shall have four choices for answers, out of which only one shall be correct. Correct answer shall carry one mark for each question. There will be no negative marking for wrong/multiple answers. 

Candidates must  produce Photo Admit Cards for appearing in the test at the designated centers. No candidates will be allowed to enter the examination hall  after 30 minutes from the start of the test as well as no candidates will be permissible to leave the examination hall until the prescribed duration of the test is completed and all the answer sheets collected by the invigilators. Mobile phones, pagers and calculators are not allowed inside the Examination Hall. Any use of unfair means and act of indiscipline on part of the candidate shall be severely punished.

The test will be conducted in the seven designated cities in Goa and the Aptitude Test for B.Arch will be held at Goa College of Architecture, Panaji and Government Polytechnic, Panaji. The schedule of the GCET will be published through the designated newspapers.

Syllabus
The syllabus prescribed for the GCET will be based on the syllabus of the standard 12th Board Examination with subjects Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Computer Science and Biology. Candidates can obtain the syllabus of the GCET from the information kit
