For Admission to Professional Degree courses, an applicant must fulfill
the following eligibility criteria.
Educational
The candidate must have passed HSSC (10+2) Examination
of Goa Board or an examination conducted by the Central Board of Secondary
Education, New Delhi or any equivalent examination and must have obtained
minimum percentage of marks in specified subjects.
First Year MBBS & BDS Candidates should have passed the HSC examination of Goa Board
of secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination
with English and secured less than 50% marks in the aggregate of subjects
of Physics, Chemistry and Biology. 40% for the applicants belonging
to SC, ST and OBC Only.
First Year B.E Candidates who have passed the HSC of the Goa Board of Secondary
Education or its equivalent examination with English, Physics and
Mathematics as compulsory subjects and one of the following subjects
as optional- Chemistry/Bio-Technology/Computer Science/Biology and
must secured not less than 50% marks in aggregate of above subjects.
First Year B.Pharm. Sc. The applicant should have passed the HSC examination of the Goa
Board of Secondary or its equivalent examination with English, Physics
& Chemistry as compulsory subjects with one of the following subjects:
Mathematics/Bio-Technology/Computer Science/Biology as optional subjects
and secured not less than 50% marks in the aggregate of the above
subjects. For candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC the score is
deducted to 40%.
First Year B.Arch. Candidate seeking admission to B.Arch should have passed in HSC
examination of the Goa Board of Secondary or any equivalent examination
with Mathematics as one of the main subjects and should secured at
least 50% marks. All candidates desirous of seeking admissions to
Degree Courses in Architecture must appear and have valid score in
Nationa Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) conducted online by Council
of Architecture.
The candidates who have appeared/are appearing at HSSC or equivalent
examination, before the start of academic session are also eligible to
appear at GCET.
Nationality Candidates desirous to appear to GCET should be an Indian citizen.
Non- resident Indians holding Inidan passport may also apply for seats
reserved under NRI category. Foreign Nationals and Persons of Indian Origin
holding non-Indian passport must apply to Govt. of India.
Age Applicants to degree courses in Medicine & Dentistry must have
completed the age of 17 years on or before 31st December of the academic
year of admission to become eligible for admission to first year. No age
limit, minimum or maximum is specified for admission to Engineering, Pharmacy
and Architecture.
