Other Details
on completion of the mandatory short courses one becomes eligible to take up a career at sea as a junior / trainee engineer. A minimum of 8 months of sea service is then required to be put in on board merchant vessels on completion of which the junior / trainee engineers become eligible to write Class IV Part 'B' examination (Class IV Part 'A' examination, being exempted on the strength of the Degree awarded.
