Salbari College was established on 14th of November, 1983 on its own land at the initiative of the conscious educationist and guardians of the locality with mere public donations amidst their poor socio- economic conditions prevailing at that time. The College is located at the heart of newly constructed Salbari Sub-Division in the District of Baksa (Erstwhile Barpeta) in Bodoland Territorial Council of Assam, and adjacent to the world Heritage site Manas National Park.
Library: The College library has sufficient collection of books in the form of text and reference. Currently the College Library is situated with the College main building.
Computer Centre: The College has a computer laboratory with 30 seats at present and has been attached to the College main building.
Auditorium: The College auditorium, with a sitting capacity of 500 students was constructed with the Financial Assistance from UGC and is used for holding various competitions during the College Youth Festival along with other cultural programmes besides seminars and meetings.
Canteen: The College has a canteen for teachers and students in the campus for refreshment.
Common Room Facilities: The College has provided separate Common Room for Teachers and Girl students.
Drinking Water Facilities: The College has adequate number of water coolers dispensing pure drinking water to all students and teachers.
Generator Facilities: The College has installed a 30KVA generator for uninterrupted power supply funded by UGC and Solar System of 50kw has also been installed.
Hostel Facility
Hostel Facilities Available: Hostel accommodation for girl students only will be available in the College.
Scholarship Facility
Provides Scholarships: Reserved categories, viz. ST, SC and OBC students are eligible for Government of India Scholarships.
