Green School is an international school in Bali, Indonesia whose mission is to be the #1 model of sustainability education in the world and to inspire students to be creative, innovative green leaders. Green School is giving its students a natural, holistic and student-centered education in one of the most amazing environments on the planet. With striking bamboo architecture and a solar-powered, self-sustaining campus that spans 20 acres, the school has attracted nearly 300 preschool through high school students from more than 55 countries seeking a unique, nature-based, student-centered education.

As the inaugural recipient of the USGBC Center for Green School’s ‘Greenest School on Earth’ award in 2012, Green School Bali launched a worldwide scholarship competition seeking the 'Greenest Student on Earth'. Green School Bali is sponsoring the Greenest Student on Earth Scholarship Competition to emphasize the importance of caring for the environment to young people everywhere. Exceptional young people who are working on environmental projects in their local communities are encouraged to apply. Three winners of the competition, one each from primary, middle, and high school, will win a full scholarship to the renowned Green School in Bali.

Eligibility:

Competition is open to individuals age 3-18 who would be eligible for admission into Preschool through Grade 12 at Green School Bali.

Notes:
No entrant from the Netherlands can sign up for the competition until they turn 16.
No entrant from Spain, South Korea and Israel can sign up for the competition until they turn 14.

Ineligibility:

The Competition is not open to residents of Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Sudan, Syria, Zimbabwe, and any other U.S. sanctioned country and is void where prohibited by law. Employees, officers, directors, agents, representatives and their immediate family members (which means parents, spouses, children, siblings, in-laws, grandparents and grandchildren and their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) or residents in the same household (whether legally related or not) of the Competition Entities and their respective parents, affiliated and subsidiary companies, advertising and promotion agencies, legal and financial advisors, any and all other companies associated with this Competition (including other institutions listed on the Competition Site who are involved in judging), are not eligible to enter or otherwise participate in this Competition.

You may participate in only one (1) Entry Submission.

All of the students entries will be featured on the Green School website, and three will be selected as winners. The winners will receive one-year scholarships to Green School Bali, where their studies will be focused on sustainability and social entrepreneurship.

Judging:

All entries will be judged by a judging committee made up of Green School Board Members and our Guest Judges. All entries will be judged on the following criteria:

- The green projects and activities the student is involved in
- The creativity in the video in presenting the character of the student
- The popularity of the video in shares, likes and votes

The Judging Panel’s decisions are final and binding in all matters relating to the Competition (without prejudice of any claim that could be filed before the Court).

Note: You acknowledge and agree that the Competition Entities reserve the right to disqualify any Entrant at any time, in their sole discretion, on the basis of anything contained in or learned or obtained as a result of any submitted Releases, or any other forms requested by the Competition Entities that, in their sole opinion, would constitute a breach of these Official Rules or otherwise.

Public Voting: All Entries will be posted on the Competition Site, for voting by the online community. Voters will have the opportunity to critically evaluate entries, and to vote for their favorite submissions a maximum of once. Votes in excess of stated maximum by a single voter will be disqualified. Finalists are prohibited from obtaining votes by any fraudulent or inappropriate means, including, without limitation, offering prizes or other inducements to members of the public, as determined by the Competition Entities and/or Competition Administrator in their sole discretion. Use of these techniques, or of script, macro, or any automated system to vote or with the intent to impair or subvert the integrity of the voting process is prohibited and all such votes will be void and, further, may lead to the disqualification of the applicable Entry.

Judging Panel: Winners will be determined by a combination of online votes and judging by a panel at Green School Bali.

Scholarships:

One (1) Primary School Scholarship: One Primary School student will be given the Greenest Student on Earth Scholarship for 2 consecutive terms, commencing in either August or January, based on the winner’s choice. Primary School consists of Pre-K Geckos through Grade 5. The Scholarship covers Green School tuition only, and all living, travel, visa, relocation, insurance, and other costs are not to be covered by Green School. The Scholarship does not cover school fees for lunches, sports uniforms, field trips, and other fees that are in addition to the regular tuition payment.

One (1) Middle School Scholarship: One Middle School student will be given the Greenest Student on Earth Scholarship for 2 consecutive terms, commencing in either August or January, based on the winner’s choice. Middle School consists of Grade 6 through Grade 8. The Scholarship covers Green School tuition only, and all living, travel, visa, relocation, insurance, and other costs are not to be covered by Green School. The Scholarship does not cover school fees for lunches, sports uniforms, field trips, and other fees that are in addition to the regular tuition payment.

One (1) High School Scholarship: One High School student will be given the Greenest Student on Earth Scholarship for 2 consecutive terms, commencing in either August or January, based on the winner’s choice of. High School consists of Grade 9 through Grade 12. The Scholarship covers Green School tuition only, and all living, travel, visa, relocation, insurance, and other costs are not to be covered by Green School. The Scholarship does not cover school fees for lunches, sports uniforms, field trips, and other fees that are in addition to the regular tuition payment.

Optional Boarding in the Three Springs Village: One (1) of the Greenest Student on Earth Scholarship winners will be given the option to board at the Three Springs Village, on-campus student housing available to students in Grades 7-12. Please indicate in your registration form if you would like to board on-campus.
