The Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) manages a number of Master's level scholarships provided by the Royal Thai Government (RTG) to qualified candidates with excellent academic qualifications from Thailand and other Asian countries. One among them is the HM King and HM Queen Scholarships for Asian Students in Thailand.

The Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) promotes technological change and sustainable development in the Asian-Pacific region through higher education, research and outreach. Established in Bangkok in 1959, AIT has become a leading regional postgraduate institution and is actively working with public and private sector partners throughout the region and with some of the top universities in the world. Recognized for its multinational, multi- cultural ethos, the Institute operates as a self-contained international community at its campus located 40 km (25 miles) north of Bangkok.

His Majesty the King's Scholarships
Full Scholarship granted to qualified candidates with excellent undergraduate achievements from any Asian country to pursue a Master Degree any of the disciplines offered at School of Engineering and Technology (SET) and School of Management (SOM), AIT.

Her Majesty the Queen's Scholarships
A Full scholarship granted to qualified candidates with excellent undergraduate achievements from any Asian country to pursue a master's degree in environmental-related field offered at the School of Environment, Resources and Development (SERD), AIT.

The scholarships provide an opportunity for students of diverse backgrounds from all countries in Asia to study and do research work together in the truly international environment at AIT, to build a good foundation for international understanding among people of Asia. 

Scholarship Details

Each scholarship award covers tuition and fees, accommodation, and a bursary for living expenses in AIT’s residential campus, for the entire period of the 22-month master’s degree program, with values as:

HM King and HM Queen Scholarships are targeted for Students of Asian countries (Afghanistan, Bahrain , Bangladesh, Bhutan ,Brunei, Cambodia, China, East Timor, India Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Japan Jordan, Kazakhstan, Korea North, Korea South, Kuwait Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Lebanon, Malaysia, Maldives, Mongolia, Myanmar (Burma), Nepal, Oman, Pakistan, The Philippines, Qatar, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Syria, Taiwan Tajikistan, Thailand, Turkey, Turkmenistan, United Arab Emirates, Uzbekistan, Vietnam and Yemen).

How to apply

Nominations from Department Heads or the Faculty Advisors of prospective candidates are invited by filling the “Nomination Form” below and fax it to 662-524-5069 or send by email to Contact Now.

The nominees are then requested to fill the application form downloadable from http://www.ait.asia/admissions or apply on-line there. If any required document is not yet available, please indicate and submit later.
