IUPUI is Indiana's premier urban university, with 21 schools and academic units which grant degrees in more than 200 programs from both Indiana University and Purdue University. Its location within blocks of downtown Indianapolis facilitates advancement of research and teaching, and presents unique opportunities for internships, partnerships, community engagement, and more. IUPUI enrolls more than 30,000 students representing all 50 states and 122 countries.

Chancellor's Recognition Scholarships is announced by Indiana University and Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI), USA with a unique partnership between them. The Chancellor's Recognition Scholarships enable direct admission into the prestigious IUPUI Honors College and will be offered to high school seniors (exclusively Indians) who have consistently earned first class grades. Scholarship is for an annual amount of US dollar 12,000(Rs. 5.4 lakh) renewable for up to four years. Totally one can claim US dollar 48,000 (approx. Rs. 21.5 lakh) over the course of graduate study. Chancellor's Recognition Scholarships cover tuition fees and other expenses like books, health insurance, field trips and laboratory expenses.

Chancellor's Recognition Scholarships are available for any UG course from the numerous departments of the university like IU Herron School of Art and Design, IU Kelley School of Business, IU School of continuing Studies, IU School of Dentistry and IU School of Informatics.

Eligibility

Students who have a minimum high school GPA of 3.75 (on a 4.0 scale) with a minimum 1300 SAT (650 Math only score for international students from non-English speaking countries) or 29 ACT score may be eligible for this scholarship.

To be considered for renewal, students must attend full time, be an active participant in the Honors College and maintain a 3.3 GPA (no separate application required). Chancellor's Recognition Scholarships are not available for Spring Entry students.

Selection Procedure

Selection to scholarship is based entirely on merit. Besides academic records, reference letters and statement of purpose must be submitted.

One can apply online for the scholarship along with the application for admission to course or can download the form and take print out. A completed application form needs to be submitted to the university by December 1. One must attach your academic transcripts and other required documents along with application. Incomplete forms will not be accepted. Interested students need to apply for the scholarship while they are submitting their admission application as no separate form will be available afterwards. The records should show a complete list of courses taken, grades received and any diplomas or certificates earned. Transcripts should also indicate the number of credits awarded for each course or the number of hours of classroom, lecture, and laboratory and include information about the school's grading scale.

If English is not your native language, you must demonstrate proficiency in English before you can be admitted to IUPUI. English language requirements various from department to department. For details refer to respective department.
