Technical University of Denmark (DTU) provides PhD scholarship for International Students for pursuing research in the field of radiopharmaceutical chemistry. The scholarships for the PhD degree are subject to academic approval, and the candidates will be enrolled in one of the general degree programs of DTU. The candidate will work in the research program, Hevesy Laboratory Division at DTU Nutech, at DTU Risø Campus close to Roskilde. Work in the section covers research to develop new innovative drug delivery systems for diagnosing and treating cancer with radionuclides.Within this field, the work will mainly focus on the radionuclide astatine-211 and the radioactive isotopes of iodine. Astatine-211 is an up-and-coming alpha particle emitting radionuclide with great potential in cancer therapy.

Salary and appointment terms:
The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations. The allowance will be agreed upon with the relevant union. The period of employment is 3 years.
The primary place of work is the Hevesy Laboratory at DTU Nutech, Risø Campus in Roskilde.

Both practical and theoretical knowledge of nanomedicine, drug formulation, organometallic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, radioisotopes, pharmacology and physiology are considered advantageous.
Candidates may apply prior to obtaining their master's degree but cannot begin before having received it.
