of India (PHFI).
Dr. PG Tulpule Scholarship is a full/ part scholarship fund that is available to students enrolling for Post Graduate Diploma in Public Health Management (PGDPHM) courses at Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI). The PHFI is a public private enterprise that has collaboratively advanced through consultations with multiple constituencies including Indian and international academia, state and central governments, multi and bi-lateral agencies and civil society groups. Training in Public Health Nutrition is a priority area for India.
The Dr P G Tulpule Scholarship Fund seeks to encourage students to choose, pursue and advance career and work in public health, with specific focus on public health nutrition and allied areas.
The PGDPHM course is currently being offered by Indian Institutes of Public Health (IIPHs) under the aegis of PHFI at Delhi, National Capital Region (Gurgaon), Gandhinagar (Gujarat), Hyderabad (Andhra Pradesh), Bhubaneswar (Orissa).
Dr P G Tulpule Scholarship will be awarded to candidates who have specific interest in Public Health Nutrition. This will be assessed through :
The student's previous work experience in public health nutrition OR;
The student's previous education or research projects focussed on public health nutrition OR
The student who have explicit focus on Public Health Nutrition in proposed course of study at Indian Institute of Public Health.
The candidates who meets the above criteria are eligible and preference
will be given toÂ
- Women Candidates and
- The candidates who have work experience with NGO or working backward
and rural districts in India.
Only Indian nationals students can apply of Dr PG Tulpule scholarship.
Dr PG Tulpule scholarship would be offered to the applicants applying for on-campus courses (full time) which is offered by PHFI through the IIPHs
The applicants must have good academic background and women applicants will be preferred
The applicant’s candidature or application will be reviewed by the selection committee of scholarship
Decision to call a candidate for interview or select a candidate for scholarship will be final and no representation in this regard will be entertained.
Incomplete and unsigned/unsubstantiated application forms are liable to be rejected.
Selection
A Scholarship Committee across PHFI and IIPH’s will assess scholarship applications from the pool of self-sponsored candidates selected for the PGDPHM course.
