India Fellow Social Leadership Program is an experiential social leadership program for young Indians that include working full time for a year with a field partner organization (called host organization) on a specific project or issue together with training, peer learning and mentoring. India Fellow Social Leadership Program is provided by iVolunteer, an organization working to connect enthusiastic volunteers with non-profit organizations on short term assignments.

India Fellow Social Leadership program helps young people become socially conscious leaders of tomorrow and in the process helps them discover what they are truly meant to accomplish in life.

In the 13 months that follow, the India Fellows spend 12 months working full time on demanding projects, write blogs, complete training assignments and at the same time engage deeply with their cohort and fellowship team.

Program covers:

The India Fellow program has 3 prime pieces

Training, peer learning and workshops
Work Assignment with host organization
Mentor-ship & The Network Support

This is divided into 4 parts namely:-

Induction training (20 days) at the start
Mid-point training (12 days) at the end of 5 months
Travel workshop (12 days) in the 10th month
End point training (5 days) at the end

Fellowship
The fellows will be provided with a monthly stipend of Rs 15000 for living expenses like accommodation, food and travel.

The fellowship has approximately 7 weeks spread over the duration of overall 13 months where the fellows meet at a common point for training.

Eligibility Criteria

The applicants must be

Between 20 and 28 years of age.
A graduate (in any discipline) or will be by July of the current year before fellowship begins
An Indian citizen
Ready for a 13 month full time commitment to the fellowship
Placed in any part of the country and in any thematic area
Expect to be engaged 24X7 in the process with the community

Selection Process
The selection to India Fellow is a 4 Step Process:

Applicants fill a detailed online application form;
Short listed candidates will go through a telephonic interview with the India Fellow team.
Those who qualify after the telephonic interview work over short field-cum-written assignment
They will be invited for a day of assessment process and personal interview in one of our centres - Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bangalore, Hyderabad

Final selections will be announced only after the personal interview 2 months prior to the commencement date of the fellowship
