SSC holds an open competitive examination for recruitment to the posts of Subordinate Accounts Service Apprentices, a Group C Non Gazetted Ministerial post in the office of Controller of General Defence Accounts.
The commission at its discretion may conduct Paper-I of the examination first, short-list candidates for Paper-II and III based on their performance in Paper-I and conduct Paper II and III subsequently.Those candidates, who want to become section officer with the Government of India, must start toiling to get success in the examination. Candidates selected through SAS Apprentices exam will be appointed as Section Officer Accounts after passing the Departmental Subordinate Accounts Service Examination.
