NGOs and International organizations such as World Bank, Asian Development Bank (ADB), United Nations Organisations (UNO), Red Cross, UNESCO offer various opportunities for professionally trained disaster management professionals. They are recruited for conducting training and workshops on disaster management to the general public and for other related activities.
Disaster management is a well-paid field but the wages depend on the organization and your experience. The packages will be high for experienced people in the field. As this is a risky field, government and non-government organizations offer fairly good remuneration for the candidates. A fresher can get between Rs. 8000 to 10,000, while a two - three years experienced person could earn not less than 15,000 Rs.
