The starting salary of an higher grade officer is in the range of Rs 12,000-15,000 a month at the junior most level. Your remuneration increases with promotion to higher scales and can be Rs 30,000 per month or even more. In addition to salary they can enjoy the benefit of other allowances like healthcare, housing, dearness allowance, LTA, retirement benefits etc. For Junior cadres the pay scale may range from 3000-10,000 approximately.
