The National University Research Fellowship is offered by National University, Singapore for the outstanding active researchers from allover the world, to work on an important piece of Asia-related research in social sciences and humanities.
Research Fellowship will be awarded on the basis of relationship of the research topic to Asia Research Institute's (ARI) specific cluster of research as listed in Research Clusters and Their Focus. Applicants should mention the particular Research Cluster to which they are applying. If there may be more than one research interest, they may list one primary and one secondary cluster only (not more than two).
The Research Fellowship will be for a period of two years at the first instance, with the possibility of another term of two years based upon evaluation and funding availability (i.e. up to a total of four years). During this period the recipients are expected to submit a working paper (not more than 10,000 words) to the ARI Working Paper Series. Candidates are also required to participate actively in research activities including seminars, conferences and ARI social events.
Amount of fellowship
The Research Fellows will receive a competitive remuneration from S$5,500 per month. University provides housing allowance to make their own private housing arrangement.
Cnadidated should be appointed upon the approval by the National University of Singapore (NUS) and the Ministry of Manpower by granting an Employment Pass or other applicable work passes. Only successful candidates will be notified (via email).
