Bighelp offers National Merit Scholarship for poor as well as meritorious students lives in any part of India, who have studied in Govt. Public Schools to continue a higher education after 10th class. Bighelp for Education is a volunteer organization dedicated to improve educational opportunities for children in India.

Provisions

Each winner of this scholarship will be receiving an amount of Rs. 5000 (five thousand rupees) per year for up to 6 years (total of up to Rs. 30,000) or until she/he completes the graduation or technical degree, whichever is earlier.

Number of scholarships will be decided based on the number of applications received from the eligible students each year.

Eligibility Criteria :

Any child

Studied in Z.P. / Municipal / Govt. Public School in any state of India during the current academic year
Financially backward, and has received a GPA of 9.7 or more (out of 10) or 97% or above marks
Parent/Guardian Annual income is not more than Rs. 100000/-

Note: Students studied in Residential schools / Govt. aided private schools/ any other private schools/Central Govt. Schools/Model Schools with Hostel Facility are NOT eligible to apply

Selection Procedure

Bighelp filters the applications and decides the winners based on their GPA or marks, financial status, community service and extracurricular achievements.

How to apply

Download the application, print and fill all columns in CAPITAL letters, enclose all of the required documents specified in the application
Enclose a letter written by hand on a white paper in English or a local language (letter should explain why the student needs this scholarship, her/his current financial situation, family situation, student’s future goals etc.)
Mail the application to Bighelp administrative office in Hyderabad, India

Please attach the required documents along with dully filled application and send to the administrative office in Hyderabad before the last date.

Documents required

A recent passport size photo (affix at the space provided in the application)
Copy of income certificate or ration card.
Copy of certificates received in co curricular activities or social service.
Copy of 10th class mark sheet (signed by the school Head Master).
Physically handicapped certificate, if applicable only.
A hand written letter by the applicant on a white paper (letter should explain why the student needs this scholarship, her/his current financial situation, family situation, student’s future goals etc.)

All shortlisted students will be interviewed over phone by the Bighelp executive team from Hyderabad. Applicant’s details will also be verified with the help of the local teams.

Winners will be published in website on or before 15th August of the current year
