Kerala state higher education council provides higher education scholarship to eligible students who secured admission to the first year degree courses at Govt./Aided Arts and Science colleges, IHRD Applied Science Colleges and university study centers, affiliated to any university in the state of Kerala for the distribution of Higher Education Scholarship.

The candidates must have the following Criteria to apply for the Higher Education Scholarship :
The annual income of parents should not exceed Rs.1,00,000/-.
However, the top six students of the Arts courses, top six of the Science courses and top three of the commerce courses based on merit, of the Post inter stage (BA/B.Sc/B.Com) and the top one student each of the three categories of the Post Graduate Courses based on merit will be awarded scholarship irrespective of the family income.
The scholarship is offered for the duration of one year. It shall be renewed on a year-to-year basis till the successful completion of the course according to the notification.

Candidates should submit the printout to the Principal/Head of the Institution
along with the documents
Documents Required:
(i) Copy
of SSLC Certificate attested by Principal/Gazetted Officer to prove nativity,
age & date of birth. (those who passed SSLC equivalent examination should submit
nativity certificate from the village officer and the same should be attested by
Principal/Gazetted Officer)
(ii) Copy of Mark List of SSLC/Equivalent
attested by Principal/Gazetted Officer.
(iii) Copy of Mark List of Plus
Two/Equivalent examination attested by Principal/Gazetted Officer.
(iv) Copy
of the front page of the Bank Pass Book attested by Principal/Gazetted Officer
(Candidate Name, Account Number, IFSC Code, Address should be clearly visible)
(v) Candidates belongs to BPL category should submit certificate attested by
Principal/Gazetted Officer. (Certificate from Panchayat Secretary, Municipal
Secretary, Corporation Secretary, Village Extension Officer)
(vi) Physically
challenged students should submit medical certificate to prove 40% or more
disability from a government medical board, attested by Principal/Gazetted
Officer.
(vii) SC/ST students should submit certificate from Village
officer/Tehsildar, attested by Principal/Gazetted Officer.
(viii) OBC
candidates should submit Non-creamy layer certificate from village officer,
attested by Principal/Gazetted Officer.
