The Trained Nurses’ Association of India (TNAI) offers Student Nurses' Association (SNA) Scholarships for Nursing Students for pursuing ANM/GNM and B.Sc program.

The Student Nurses' Association, popularly known as SNA, is a nation-wide organization of nursing students. It was established in 1929 at the time of annual conference of the TNAI in Madras. Ms. L.N. Jean, the Nursing Superintendent of General Hospital, Madras was instrumental in forming this association.

Subjects Covered

i) Multipurpose Health Workers (Female)/ Revised ANM Program
ii) Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery
iii) Basic BSc Nursing

Scholarship Details

The Student Nurses' Association awards scholarship to the students of ANM/GNM and B.Sc programme. An amount of Rs.750/- is given for every month and Rs.2000/- is given as one time grant for buying books. This amount is given for their entire period of study.

SNA Unit is requested to forward only two applications from each category (i.e. BSc(N), GNM and ANM)
Confidential report should be sent by the Class Coordinator/ Unit SNA Advisor and the Principal along with the completed application form

Other requirements

The applicant should be a bonafide student of a School/College of Nursing, recognised by Indian Nursing Council.
The SNA unit sponsoring the candidate for the Scholarship should be an active Unit for at least last three years.
Preference will be given to the candidate’s active participation in SNA activities at National / State / District / Zonal and Unit Level.
The applicant should not be receiving any financial support/benefits from any other source by way of stipend/fellowship/scholarship, etc.

Students should download the SNA scholarship application form from website http://www.tnaionline.org/

Fill the form correctly with your personal details. Completed Application form duly recommended by Principal of School or College and President /Secretary/SNA Advisor of the State Branch, TNA should be sent to the Secretary-General, Trained Nurses’ Association of India, L-17 Green Park, New Delhi-110016 before last date of application. Incomplete applications will not be accepted.
