The Face Book Fellowship Program is offered for domestic and International Full time PhD students who are studying in the computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, system architecture, or a related area for the current academic year. The aim of the Facebook Fellowship Program is to encourage and support promising doctoral students who are engaged in innovative and relevant research.

Provisions

The fellowship is for 2 years.

Tuition and fees will be paid for the academic year (up to two years). $37K grant (one-time payment during each academic year). Up to $5,000 in conference travel support.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidates should be full time PhD students (domestic or international)
Students work must be related to one or more of the outlined research areas
Students must be enrolled during the academic year(s) that the Fellowship is awarded.
The Fellowship Program is open to PhD students globally who are enrolled in an accredited university in any country.
Students applying for an Emerging Scholar award must be in their first or second year of study AND identify as a member of one or more of the following groups:
i) Black or African American
ii) Hispanic or Latino
iii) Native American or Alaskan Native
iv) Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander

Candidates can submit the application tools to Facebook, or email a word or PDF file to facebookfellowship@fb.com.
The candidates should write the subject of email as "Fellowship Program Application".

Materials required for application

Research Summary:
1-2 page research summary, which clearly identifies the area of focus and applicability of estimated research to Facebook
Resume or Curricular Vitae
Two letters of recommendation with addresses
(i) Advisor
(ii) Professional reference (can be from academia or industry)
