Study in USA : Cost of Education

Studying in U.S is an expensive affair especially for Indians as the money value is much below the Dollar rate. Private colleges and Universities are usually more expensive than State-supported schools.

Cost roughly includes tuition fees, books and supplies, room rent, additional fees like 'student activity fees' for clubs and sports, fees for using fine arts studio, science lab etc. and personal expenses including transportation.

FINANCE

U.S government does not restrict the amount of U.S currency that a non resident can send or take to U.S for education. But a transfer of cash worth $10,000 or more into or out of the country should be reported. Our government has restriction for the amount to be taken out. Details about the same can be had from the passport office.

Before leaving for U.S, it is better to open an A/C with a bank, having a foreign exchange department. So in case of need, you can have money sent to you from your country to U.S.
